Change in
circumstances, conditions, and life’s everyday nuances can often
stretch the temperaments in the best of us humans:
child, adolescent or adult. Unlike us, though, our pets seem to take
each day as it comes and are just fine being what they were created to
be.
Pets can soothe a lot of pain, calm anger, ease loneliness, sense
wonder, cause amazement, be beautiful, demand attention without making
a sound, make you laugh uncontrollably, make you cry, humble the proud,
tell the truth, let you vent, sense how you feel, know a good line when
they hear it, like some attention, can keep a secret, are powerful
communicators, live in the moment, are unpretentious teachers, and give
unconditional love with each new day, to us, humans.
Pets also create a
special bond with their owner. The attachment is much like a soul tie,
a part of you has become one with the other. One pet or many pets, that
pet is truly a family member; your heart and mind have been captured.
When this bond is broken by death, be it natural or otherwise the grief
of the pet loss is often difficult to handle. Emotions are raw and
vulnerable.
It is my hope that through this book you will have peace,
wholeness and get an understanding of how to cope with pet loss. Pause
and reflect over the treasured times you’ve spent with your
beloved pet. Renew your mind in preparation to give love and receive
the love of a pet again, in due season.
